Best Skull I took a DNA test and Kansas City Chiefs are my brothers shirt
So we all appreciate Houston he was not living up to the expense of his Skull I took a DNA test and Kansas City Chiefs are my brothers shirt. He made it very clear he would not restructure his contract the Chiefs had no other answer than to keep drastically overpaying for Houston. Now they save 14 million dollars. This is the business side of the game. Scott DeCoursey here’s the irony in that. So he’s getting a big salary increase because of a long-term contract agreed upon several years ago. The going is good for these guys when they are young and at the top of their game. By the time they get to the end of the contract, the talent level has already begun to diminish yet the salary now appears outlandish. The team has younger more talented players they need to reward for outstanding performance, just as in the case for Houston.
To stay under the salary cap, something has to give. So the Chiefs, in good faith, offer Houston up for trade so that he might possibly get that outlandish raise from some other team. No takers. Chiefs waive him. So, nobody wanted to trade for Houston and absorb the big salary increase. Anybody who does sign him as a free agent will expect him to accept a reduced salary. Sooooo, why doesn’t he swallow his pride and negotiate a reduced salary and stay in KC? Many players have done this late in their careers so as to prolong their careers and to benefit the team financially in signing younger, more talented players.
