I went wild garlic (or bear garlic) picking Daddy’s Little Beard Puller shirt. I didn’t know those tasty leaves were to be found in the forests around. We made pesto out of it. We just needed to add some olive oil and nuts like walnuts or hazelnuts. Now, I wake up every morning with garlic breath. It’s time to pay me a visit. You just need to bring bread! These days I’m finding solace in all the little details of an early spring.

Best Daddy Little Beard Puller shirt
The ladybug on the wild garlic leaf, the way some trees are already blooming with Daddy’s Little Beard Puller shirt, the ray of sunlight that tickled my neck this afternoon when I was stacking books. I started to write this post last December when I couldn’t get rid of that Ecuadorian taste of sand after my usual Spanish lesson. My insides are burning wild, my legs itching, restless, my body is calling for new adventures, my mind is longing for some feeling of belonging.
Being back to my home region through winter teaches me patience, one trouble at a time, one frustration at a time. It’s also teaching me gratitude, for beautiful surprises happens when you let yourself follow the flow of stranger’s vibes. Looks like I’ve found a gang to spend my Sundays frolicking in the mountains with. And I thought that my English speaking friends should have a look into my adventure in Rangitoto Island, New Zealand, a beautiful volcanic island 20 minutes from Auckland by ferry.
